Cold Spring Harbor, NY (PRWEB) November 04, 2011

Harborside Press, LLC, announces the newly redesigned Web site of the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology (JADPRO). The new Web site features an oncology news feed, opportunities for Continuing Education credits, as well as content from current and past issues. In addition, JADPRO has also launched its newest installment in social media, the Facebook page for the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology.

The JADPRO Web site homepage highlights a news feed of oncology reports from the Web. This feed includes links to relevant, breaking news reports that are important to advanced practitioners working in cancer. The feed will help keep advanced practitioners up-to-date with developing stories in oncology, not only for their own professional development, but also for the questions they often face from their patients.

The Web site will also feature key editorials and commentary, selected articles from previous issues, virtual events, JADPRO’s most recent social media posts, blog entries from JADPRO associate editors and guests, and sponsored content. From the navigation bar, potential contributors can access the manuscript submission portal ScholarOne and clinicians can sign up to receive the journal.

“We have received many requests to build a collaborative community, allowing our readers to voice their opinions, share knowledge, and work together. The new JADPRO Web site and Facebook page will provide us with the opportunity to engage our readers, offer a variety of insightful commentary, and strengthen our commitment to this profession, as well as provide our readers with a new venue to learn about our products and events,” said Conor Lynch, Executive Vice President, Editorial, of Harborside Press.

Facebook is one of the most popular Internet Web sites by traffic, with over 800 million registered users.
